There’s only one word that comes to mind when checking out Trina Merry’s bodypainting: Brilliant.
The San Francisco-based bodypainter creates a distinctly human experience through her work, which includes human canvases. Most recently, her series New York Camouflage pays homage to Big Apple women, who—as she states—“feel the need to blend in with everyone else in Gotham.”.. more pictures below

“I am specifically fascinated by the fact that New York is such an aggressive, violent city—characteristics we usually associate with masculinity—when in fact there are way more women living here than men,” Merry, who won first place for installation art at World Bodypaint Festival 2014, tells Life & Style.
“However, it stands that there is this ambitious, violent undertone that can't be ignored and some rather phallic skyscrapers around town.”
Merry’s New York Camouflage Series, which includes eight photographs (with painted models), is sold on her website. And there will only be 10 of each sold at $1,000 a piece!

“Im curious why this dichotomy exists,” she adds. “I think many women move here hoping to live Sex and the Citylives when the reality is most women have to ditch their fancy designer heels on the subway for more practical sneakers.”
